I loved my visit to Jeju Island
Walking the trail of Seopjikoji, completely soaked in wind and rain was so memorable. Enjoyed the strike of sun rays and the change of blue ocean. The seafood was just heavenly. Loved this break. Sharing a few shots and moments💜

So this is it
26 years later… and I’m finally back in Korea 🇰🇷

It still doesn’t feel real. So much has changed, yet so much feels deeply familiar. This trip is filled with meaning in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

It’s my daughter’s very first time here — watching her experience this place for the first time has been something truly special. And for me, being able to take part in my grandparents’ memorial service for the first time… I can’t even fully put it into words. Just grateful.

So many “firsts,” so many moments I’ll carry with me.

I’ll be sharing pieces of this journey along the way — hope you enjoy them and follow along😊

Back from New York

I’ve been to this city many times, but somehow it always surprises me with something new to see, feel, and understand.

This time, I visited the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time since it was left out in my list for years and it truly felt magical.

In NoHo, I explored a contemporary street art gallery featuring an “Artist Absent” exhibition—AI-created artworks that were thought-provoking.

Driving into Manhattan each day, we couldn’t help but notice how many of the big billboards were left empty. It felt like a quiet reflection of how much our world is changing… and how art evolves with it.

A special thank you to my dear friend Veronica, who has been volunteering at the MET for years. Because of her, I had the rare privilege of experiencing a private viewing after hours—something I’ll never forget.

Opera “Madame Butterfly” nearly brought me to tears, and a dance performance by a French choreographer was simply phenomenal. Experiencing art in so many forms and perspectives was deeply moving and incredibly inspiring.

Coming back home, I keep thinking about what art really means to me.

Art is connection.
It’s understanding.
It’s embracing fear, differences, and the unknown.

And above all, it reminds me how grateful I am—for love, for friendship, and for moments like these.

This trip was exactly the break I needed 💜

Back from New York

I’ve been to this city many times, but somehow it always surprises me with something new to see, feel, and understand.

This body of work grows out of my ongoing exploration of flowers as symbols of the soul—each one unique, ephemeral, and alive with presence. I’m drawn to the way a flower flourishes so briefly, dancing in full bloom before gently fading, mirroring the tender rhythms of our own lives.

As time shifts, it quietly marks both the birth and the passing of each bloom. In observing this cycle, I become aware of how fragile and fleeting each moment is. Through this work, I try to hold that instant still—to preserve the breath between emergence and disappearance, and to honor the quiet beauty that exists within it.

This piece came from a place of deep reflection on how nature carries emotion — not loudly, but with a quiet, undeniable force. I was thinking about the moments when the surrounding feels almost sentient… when wind, light, and atmosphere move with intention.

I built the surface slowly, allowing layers to shift and respond to one another, creating a tension that feels both powerful and vulnerable.

A Solemn Symphony is for the collector who connects to work not just visually, but emotionally — who wants to live with a painting that continues to unfold over time.

This body of work grows out of my ongoing exploration of flowers as symbols of the soul—each one unique, ephemeral, and alive with presence. I’m drawn to the way a flower flourishes so briefly, dancing in full bloom before gently fading, mirroring the tender rhythms of our own lives.
