About Celeste Kim
Hello. My name is Celeste Kim, a Canadian expressive and intuitive painter. My art is where color and emotion meet — a vibrant conversation between heart and canvas. Each piece I create tells a story, capturing the beauty and energy of life through a poetic dance of colors and movement. Painting is my way of connecting with the world, sharing moments of joy, reflection, and emotional depth.

Artistic Approach
My work explores the art of storytelling through acrylic and mixed media on canvas, where I blend textures, colors, and layered materials to give form to my inner voice and emotions. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, I strive to capture its beauty in the simplest yet most evocative way. Each piece becomes a visual dialogue—an intimate expression of personal experiences and feelings—inviting viewers to connect with the raw, unspoken narratives that shape my world.
As an expressive and intuitive artist, I approach painting as a poetic dance of color, texture, and movement. Many of my works emerge as visual extensions of my poetry, where the rhythm of words transforms into dynamic compositions on canvas. Through a whimsical yet introspective atmosphere, I aim to portray the subtle beauty of emotion as inspired by nature, stirring deep and personal responses in those who engage with my work.

I explore the profound symbolism of flowers through abstract expression. To me, each flower represents a soul—unique, fleeting, and vibrant. Much like life itself, a flower flourishes for a brief moment, dancing freely in its bloom before fading. My paintings are a meditation on that delicate yet powerful journey: the grace of becoming, the freedom in being, and the quiet dignity of letting go. Through bold color, fluid form, and movement, I aim to capture not just the image of a flower, but its essence—its joy, vulnerability, and silent resilience.
I studied Fine Art and Communication Design at OCAD University, where I developed the foundation for my multidisciplinary approach and deepened my understanding of visual storytelling.
